Description

Hello Everyone,

We are kicking off a new Video Games related event in the Kansai area, called Power Up Kansai. Our goal is to make it a place for serious gamers (i.e. not casual) to talk and share about their experiences with other knowledgeable folks. The topics to discuss have no specific boundaries, consoles, mobile and PC gamers are welcome, and we'll certainly touch upon retro systems as well, because lots of great games originated in the (now) distant past. We recommend participants to bring some of their own gaming hardware to the event so that we can actually show, hands-on, some of the games we like and play these days.

The first event will start with a in-depth presentation about the Sega Dreamcast, how it was conceived and how Sega failed to come back to life after the Saturn debacle. We will have a Dreamcast at the event and you'll be able to try it out for yourself.

The venue is CR Nakatsu, located close to Umeda station. It should be convenient for you to reach from Kobe or Kyoto using JR or Hankyu or even Hanshin lines.

Entry fee will be 500 JPY, and we will provide some refreshments, and light food (because of event space restrictions, we will only be able to provide things like biscuits).

Hope to see many of you at the event!
